Dead to the Old You, Alive to Something Better // ROMANS
Romans 6 reminds us that the Christian life is not built on behavior change alone, but on a brand-new identity in Christ. Because of Jesus, our old self has been crucified with Him, and sin no longer has the authority to define or control us. Paul calls believers to live in light of what is already true: dead to sin, alive to God, and empowered by grace. This new life does not come from striving to earn God’s favor, but from trusting what Christ has already accomplished. As we learn to see ourselves through the lens of grace, obedience becomes a response to freedom - not a requirement for acceptance.
