The Civil War Inside You // ROMANS

We look at Romans 7:14–25 and the honest words of Paul as he describes the internal struggle every believer knows too well. It’s the tension between wanting to do what is right and still finding ourselves pulled in the opposite direction. This passage pulls back the curtain on the real battle that takes place within the human heart.

Paul doesn’t hide from the struggl. Intead, he names it! Showing us we’re not alone in it. The Christian life is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of a deeper war between sin and the work of God within us.

At the center of it all is a question Paul asks that we all eventually face: “Who will rescue me?” And the answer changes everything. It’s not found in trying harder, but in Jesus Christ, who meets us in the middle of the battle.

If you’ve ever felt the gap between who you want to be and who you are, this message will help you see that struggle differently and point you to the only One who can truly rescue you.
